Good Evening and Welcome to this Edition of the Queen's Tea!
It's always nice to have court with Seneschal Lady Anne and the previous night was no exception. She made it a straight forward affair that's bound to have kindred talking for days. While awarding territory to clanless is not an entirely new or strange occurence, it's certainly sure to put a stake through a few of those more conservative hearts. While endearing, Lady Anne is always precise and to the point. After mentioning her stance on the long burning topic of growing clanless numbers flocking to the city, she made it quite clear that she may judge them not on the whole, but individually. This shocking new concept of individuality and clanless in the same sentence boggled some kindred. I overheard a neonate whispering to her clanmate "Clanless have free thought? I thought they were just slaves..." as her clanmate agreed. While I am completely for the status quo, status means nothing without someone below you to step on. Everyone and everything has a purpose.
Paul Stetter accepted the honor of the territory on behalf of the clanless. While it's not a big step, it's certainly a step in the right direction for all involved, hopefully. Mithras or his associates have not responded on the Seneschal's decision, but considering she is stil our Seneschal, perhaps it was sanctioned?
Speaking of purpose, apparently Nero of clan Malkavian is planning a s`wa`re` of sorts. Sources say that Nero gave Lady Anne the first invitation to a masquerade ball. I'll be expecting my invitation post haste, Nero darling!
It's wonderful that our most ominous and illustrious Prince Mithras has returned to the city! We all welcome his return with bated breath in hopes that he will continue to be as benevolent as he is omniprescent. With his return, Lady Anne resumes her post as Seneschal and Lady Sophie Valois is named protector of the city. What that means is that when Anne and Mithras are away, Lady Sophie is Prince of our fine city.
With the weather finally breaking, perhaps we shall see more of our fine dignitaries out and about in the city?
Who can tell?!
Until then, sip quietly and keep your pinkie extended!
